At Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, instructors blendnursing theory and academics with a hands-on clinical component toprovide their students with a thorough understanding of both the practiceof nursing and the history behind it. Graduates will be prepared to beginexciting and rewarding careers as entry-level nurses.The schooloffers a 21-month program. Students will attend classes fivedays a week, as well as clinicals, which generally run from 7:00 am to3:00 twice a week.The school’s admissions requirements consider each applicant on anindividual basis; however, certain criteria apply as well. A college GPAof at least 2.5 is preferred, and the applicant must supply twosatisfactory recommendations. Students must have Child Abuse and Stateand Federal Criminal Record Clearance, as well as Drug Testing Clearance.To apply, students should submit an application and fee, as well as highschool or GED and college transcripts. A pre-nursing test may also berequired, or an interview requested. Check with the school for additionaladmissions requirements.For those struggling to meet tuition costs, financial aid is available.Students can complete a FAFSA to check their eligibility for Pell grantsand federal loan programs.
