Deger Ayata

Deger Ayata, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, serving as the Chief AI, Computer Vision and Data Science Officer at AIATUS AI since 2019. As the founder and managing partner of AIATUS, Deger is dedicated to helping enterprises leverage AI and data science for value creation. In addition to this role, Deger co-founded iFACEX, focusing on AI-powered digital onboarding and identity verification, and serves as a board member at SafetyNow, which provides AI-powered workplace safety solutions. Deger’s extensive experience includes previous positions as Senior Director at Aktif Bank, where leadership across various IT units was demonstrated, and as an instructor at Boğaziçi University. With academic credentials including a PhD in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA from Boğaziçi University, Deger is also a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering.
