Royal Armouries Museum
Mark Bennett serves as the Research Manager at the Royal Armouries Museum since December 2019, overseeing a collections-based research program aimed at establishing the museum as a leading authority on arms and armour. Prior to this role, Mark was a Postgraduate Researcher at Durham University, focusing on a PhD thesis that explored the influence of global power shifts on domestic political behavior in mid-Victorian Britain. Additionally, Mark has held positions as a Senior Associate at PwC, contributing to audit support and project assurance, and worked as a Freelance Contributor for the History of Parliament Trust, documenting parliamentary history. Mark’s academic background includes a PhD in Modern History from Durham University, an MA by Research from the University of Warwick, and a BA from the University of Oxford.
