Andrew Curtis is a Professor of Mathematical Geoscience at the University of Edinburgh, where employment began in 2005. In addition, Andrew serves as Vice President for Geophysics at the Royal Astronomical Society and President of the British Geophysical Association, both roles started in 2023. Previous roles include Guest Professor at ETH Zürich, Senior and Principal Research Scientist at Schlumberger, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Universiteit Utrecht. Andrew received a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Oxford and holds a BSc with Honours in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
