Kirushney K. is an experienced professional actively engaged in promoting diversity and inclusion within the fields of astronomy and geophysics. Currently serving on the Committee for Diversity in Astronomy and Geophysics at the Royal Astronomical Society and as a Fellow with the Space Generation Advisory Council, Kirushney focuses on developing strategies to expand access for underrepresented groups and fostering gender equality in the space sector. Involvement includes participation in the Space4Women Expert Meeting, contributing to a Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit for public and private institutions. Kirushney has also won the OGL Hackathon 2023 with a project addressing air quality issues for women in remote First Nation communities. Additional roles include membership on the Inclusion and Diversity Committee at the Institute of Physics and experience as a software engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Kirushney holds a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology from King’s College London and completed summer studies at Princeton University.
