Luke Cornwell

Luke Cornwell is a Fellow at the Royal Astronomical Society and a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Kent, focusing on planetary and space science with an emphasis on orbital debris and space sustainability. As an Academic Ambassador and UKAT Access to Higher Education Mentor, responsibilities include preparing learning materials and mentoring students in local schools. Cornwell also serves as an Associated Researcher with the Global Network On Sustainability In Space and has led Team DECSTAR in the LaunchUK Nanosat Design and Build Competition. Previous experience includes roles such as Kitchen Assistant at Strode Park Foundation and Machine Vision Engineer Intern at i3D robotics. Cornwell holds a PhD, a Master’s degree, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Kent.
