George Braitberg Am Ostj

George Braitberg AM OStJ serves as the Professor and Director of Emergency Medicine Research at Austin Health since August 2021. Additionally, George holds various leadership roles, including Board Member at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Director on the Board of the Jewish Holocaust Centre. As Deputy Director and Head of the Emergency Stream in the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne, alongside a professorship in Emergency Medicine, George contributes significantly to medical education. George is also an Adjunct Professor at Monash University and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators. Other positions include Board Member roles with the Israeli Institute of Emergency Medicine Research and St. John's Ambulance Victoria, and Medical Advisor for Ambulance Victoria. Academic qualifications include degrees in Medicine, Epidemiology, Bioethics, and Health Services Management from the University of Melbourne and Monash University.
