Ernani Cecon

Ernani Cecon is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Hybrid Cloud at RBC since September 2025, where responsibilities include overseeing the Hybrid Cloud Engineering organization and shaping key technology platforms. Prior roles include Managing Director of Platform Engineering, Architecture & Technology Strategy at Questrade Financial Group, where Ernani developed enterprise-wide technology strategies and contributed to the establishment of the Platform Engineering group. Previous experience also encompasses positions such as Lead Architect at Scotiabank, where Ernani was instrumental in designing the API Strategy and the Bank as a Service platform, as well as various roles at Questrade, including Director of Quality Assurance and Release Management, culminating in the successful adoption of Agile processes across the organization. Ernani's early career included positions as Software Development Manager and Senior .NET Developer at webAula S/A, focusing on e-learning solutions. Ernani holds a BS in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade Federal de Viçosa.
