Mao Phu

Mao Phu has over 15 years of experience in engineering and infrastructure roles within the technology sector, prominently at RBC from November 2012 to February 2025, where positions included Director of Cloud Engineering, Director of SRE Resilience Engineering, and Director of SRE USCM ET. Responsibilities involved enabling DevOps practices for application teams and supporting a significant number of mid-tier applications on Z/OS Mainframe. Prior experience includes roles as an Infrastructure Analyst at Mercer, where Mao deployed and maintained internet-facing servers, and as a Web Hosting Support technician at Sunlife Financial, focusing on web application deployment. Mao earned a diploma in Computer Science Technology from Sheridan College between January 2002 and December 2005.
