Maz Alam has extensive experience in process automation, data analytics, and operational efficiency, having held leadership roles at prominent financial institutions such as RBC and Scotiabank. At RBC from March 2019 to August 2021, Maz served as Director and Head of Process Automation & Data Analytics, overseeing teams focused on enhancing efficiency and mitigating risks. Previous roles included Head of Process Excellence, where strategic efficiency initiatives were driven, and Senior Manager of Operations Transformation, providing data-driven insights for employee experience improvements. At Scotiabank, Maz led projects to boost revenue and market share in business deposits and served as a manager of operational effectiveness in Global Wealth Management. Additional experience includes consulting roles at Canada Post and RBC Capital Markets, alongside a solid foundation as a Technical Consultant and Data Analytics Lead at Xerox. Education includes an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick.
