Lucy Chetty has a diverse work experience in the field of education and autism. Lucy started their career at Glasgow City Council as a Teacher in 2010 and then moved on to Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) as a Teacher in 2012. In 2014, they joined Scottish Autism where they held various positions including Principal Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, and ultimately Head Teacher until December 2020. Currently, they work as the Head of Learning at Sight Scotland.
Lucy Chetty began their education journey at the University of Glasgow in 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. After successfully completing their undergraduate studies in 2009, they went on to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary) from the same institution, specializing in Elementary Education and Teaching between 2009 and 2010. Continuing to broaden their knowledge and skills, Lucy returned to the University of Glasgow in 2019 to pursue a Post Graduate Certificate in Headship, focusing on Educational Leadership. This program concluded in 2020. Overall, Lucy Chetty has a strong academic background in English Literature, Elementary Education and Teaching, and Educational Leadership from the University of Glasgow.
