Kevin McDaniel

Kevin McDaniel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kevin is currently working as a Local Authority appointed Director at Achieving for Children since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Chief Executive at the same company from August 2017 to July 2022.

Before joining Achieving for Children, Kevin held various roles at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Kevin was the Executive Director for Adult Services and Health, starting in April 2023. Kevin previously served as the Executive Director of People Services from August 2022 to April 2023, the Director of Children's Services from August 2017 to July 2022, and the Head of Schools and Education Services from November 2015 to August 2017.

Kevin has also worked at Optalis as a Local Authority appointed Director starting from August 2022. Kevin'srole at Telsis Limited as an Engineering Manager from 1990 to August 1997 and at Microsoft from 1997 to 2008, where they held various managerial positions including Group Evangelism Manager and Partner Evangelism Manager. Kevin'sresponsibilities at Microsoft involved central government business management, partner account management, and technology evangelism.

Additionally, Kevin worked at Reading Borough Council as the Head of Education from April 2012 to November 2015, the Head of Business Transformation from May 2008 to March 2012, and as the Interim Head of ICT from April 2010 to December 2010.

Kevin McDaniel attended Loughborough University from 1985 to 1989. During their time there, they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Electronic, Control, and Systems Engineering.
