Alexandre Antonelli

Alexandre Antonelli has a diverse work experience in academia and research. Alexandre is currently serving as the Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew since February 2019. Previously, they have held roles as a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford starting in October 2020 and a Professor at the University of Gothenburg since July 2015. Alexandre also worked as a Scientific Curator at Goteborgs Botaniska Tradgard from 2010 to February 2019. Furthermore, they have been a Guest Professor at Harvard University from January 2018 to July 2018, an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg from 2012 to 2015, and a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Zurich from 2009 to 2010.

Alexandre Antonelli earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Gothenburg. Alexandre completed their studies between 2003 and 2008.
