Tiziana Ulian

Senior Research Leader - Head Of Sustainable Use, Seeds & Solutions at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Tiziana Ulian is an Associate Professor of Applied Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation at the University of Turin since May 2023 and also serves as a Visiting Professor. With extensive experience at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew since 2004, Tiziana leads the Sustainable Use, Seeds & Solutions research group, focusing on developing Nature-based Solutions to climate change, particularly in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Tiziana has also managed significant projects aimed at enhancing conservation and sustainable use of plant diversity, including the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership and the Useful Plants Project across multiple countries. Tiziana's academic background includes a PhD in Tropical Conservation Biology and an MBA Essentials from The London School of Economics, among other degrees in environmental sciences and resource management.
