Shawn Knowles

Shawn Knowles is a retired Corporal from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with extensive experience in forensic identification and tactical medic roles. Since July 2011, Shawn has served as a Forensic Identification Specialist in the Kelowna RCMP Forensic Identification section, focusing on the collection and analysis of physical evidence, crime scene photography, and presenting findings in court. Previous roles included serving as a Corporal in Fort St John, where responsibilities included leading forensic investigations and training apprentices. Shawn's background also includes contributions as a tactical medic and involvement in instructing first aid courses for organizations like St John Ambulance and the Red Cross. Educational pursuits include studies at the University of Guelph and the University of Windsor in marine biology, biological oceanography, and bioethics.
