Susheel Gupta

Susheel Gupta, LL.B., is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in counter-terrorism, national security, and human rights. Currently serving as the Senior Strategic Operations Director for Counter-Terrorism & National Security at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police since October 2018, Susheel previously held prominent positions including Vice Chairperson and Acting Chairperson/CEO at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, where responsibilities involved adjudication, mediation, and overall tribunal operations. Earlier roles include serving as a Federal Prosecutor in the Competition Law Division and the Computer Crime Advisor at the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, as well as Counsel for the Department of Justice focusing on war crimes. Susheel's educational background includes a Certificate in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, and a B.A. (Honours) in History from the University of Waterloo.
