Carlos F. Betancourt

Carlos F. Betancourt is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in US and international tax compliance and consulting. Currently serving as the Director of Global Tax Strategy at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. since July 2017, Betancourt has held significant roles including Tax Manager at Ryder System, Inc. and Norwegian Cruise Line. Previous positions include Tax Manager at United Parcel Service (UPS) and KPMG, where expertise encompassed various aspects of tax strategy for multinational corporations. Betancourt began the career as a Tax Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers and gained foundational experience as a Tax Intern at Arthur Andersen LLP in Puerto Rico. Academically, Betancourt holds an Executive Master of Science in Taxation from Florida International University and a BBA in Accounting from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
