Meaghan Gies

Associate Vice President, Operational Safety, Standards & Innovation at Royal Caribbean Group

Meaghan Gies, MPA, serves as the Associate Vice President of Operational Safety, Standards & Innovation at Royal Caribbean Group, having previously held roles including Associate Vice President of Marine Strategy & Safety and Director of Nautical Operations. With extensive experience in marine operations, Gies has been responsible for overseeing emergency preparedness plans and supporting the day-to-day nautical operations for a fleet of 25 ships. Gies' background also includes roles within the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, such as District Seven Contingency & Planning Staff Officer and a Planner for the Southeast Regional Domestic Security Task Force. Gies holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the US Coast Guard Academy, a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University, and completed Joint Professional Military Education at the U.S. Naval War College.
