Matt Johnson

Matt Johnson is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator with extensive experience in innovation and design engineering. Currently serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of LAIIER.IO since January 2021, Johnson leads a company focused on smart building monitoring and preventative maintenance solutions, specifically in water leak detection. Prior to this role, Johnson co-founded Bare Conductive, a pioneering technology company dedicated to printed electronics, where innovative products transformed user interaction with electronics from 2008 to September 2020. Additionally, as a Visiting Tutor in the Innovation Design Engineering program at the Royal College of Art since October 2010, Johnson fosters the development of future design and engineering talent. Educational achievements include dual MA/MSc degrees in Industrial Design Engineering from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, along with a BA in Economics and Business with a minor in Studio Art from Colorado College, complemented by participation in the Imagine H2O Accelerator Cohort in 2023.
