Itunuoluwa Johnson-Sogbetun

Itunuoluwa Johnson-Sogbetun has extensive experience in the medical field. They are currently the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder of DrShoCares since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a General Practitioner at the NHS starting in 2021 and as a Doctor starting in 2011. They also served as a General Practitioner at Bupa starting in 2022. Additionally, Itunuoluwa has been a Committee Member for the Primary Care Women's Health Forum Community Interest Company since 2023. They have also held positions as a Medical School Tutor and Examiner at Queen Mary University of London starting in 2022 and as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead at the Royal College of General Practitioners starting in 2022. Itunuoluwa completed their General Practitioner Registrar training at the Royal College of General Practitioners from 2016 to 2021 and worked as a Core Medical Doctor at Whittington Health from 2013 to 2016.

Itunuoluwa Johnson-Sogbetun obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine from UCL, completing the program from 2005 to 2011. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human/Medical Genetics from UCL, completing the program in 2008. They also obtained several certifications, including being a Member of the British Menopause Society from 2023, a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners from 2021, a Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health (DFSRH) from 2021, and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (London) from 2014.
