Kamran Naseem

Faculty Education Lead at Royal College of General Practitioners

Kamran Naseem has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Kamran started their career as a Medical Officer at United Christian Hospital in 2012 and later transitioned to become a Resident Medical Officer at NES Healthcare UK. In this role, they focused on providing urgent care to patients and referring them to appropriate services when necessary.

In 2015, Naseem took on the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at Christian Medical Fellowship - Pakistan, where they led the organization in its mission to serve the healthcare needs of the community.

Naseem then pursued further specialization by becoming a GP Specialty Trainee at West Midlands HEE. During their training, they rotated in various departments, including Diabetes and Endocrine, Pediatrics, and Accident & Emergency, which allowed him to develop a wide range of clinical skills and handle complex medical cases. Their experience in Pediatrics and A&E equipped him with the necessary skills and confidence to treat children.

In 2020, Naseem joined the British Medical Association, where they served as the Chairperson of the Local Negotiating Committee and highlighted employment issues faced by trainees in the West Midlands region. Kamran also held the role of Member of the Local Negotiating Committee for Public Health and GP trainees.

Naseem has been involved with the Royal College of General Practitioners since 2019, holding various positions within the AiT Committee and the Midlands Faculty. Their roles included being the Chair of the AiT Committee, Vice-Chair of the AiT Committee, and Associate in Training Representative. Kamran also served as a member of the Midlands Faculty Board.

In 2021, Naseem joined the NHS as a General Practitioner and also worked as a Post CCT Fellow. Kamran provided primary care services and contributed to the training and development of other healthcare professionals.

In 2022, Naseem expanded their involvement in medical education and leadership roles. Kamran joined the Royal College of General Practitioners as the Faculty Education Lead and became a Member of the RCGP Midland Faculty. Kamran also joined Health Education England as a Training Programme Director. Additionally, they became a Committee Member at the Local Medical Committee Walsall.

Kamran Naseem obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.
