Conor P.J. Maguire began their work experience in 2001 as a Consultant Physician at NHS Lothian. In 2015, they joined the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh as the Director of Education. Conor P.J. later became the Vice President International in November 2019.

Conor P.J. Maguire attended University College Dublin from 1981 to 1987, where they obtained a degree in Medicine (MB BCh BAO).
