Barbara Murphy

Barbara Murphy has extensive work experience in human resources and hospitality. Barbara is currently the Director of People & Culture at the Royal Garden Hotel, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to that, Barbara was an Associate Consultant at Outside Partner starting in September 2018. From October 2018 to November 2020, they served as the Regional Human Resources Director, Europe at Millennium Hotels and Resorts. Barbara also held various HR leadership roles at Hilton Worldwide from 2008 to 2018, including HR Director, Cluster HR Director, and Cluster HR Director for Hilton Heathrow and Hilton Reading. Their career in HR began in 1991 at The Langham, where they served as the HR & Training Manager until 2003.

Barbara Murphy has attended the Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, where they pursued studies in Hospitality, Hotel & Catering Management. Barbara also enrolled at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, specializing in Hotel Management.
