Martin Raffield

Martin Raffield has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Martin is currently serving as the Vice President Operations at Royal Gold Inc. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal at MREng LLC. Martin also held executive positions at Harte Gold Corp., Golden Star Resources Ltd., and Placer Dome, where they had responsibilities in technical services, strategic planning, and operational management. Additionally, Martin has experience as a consultant at SRK Consulting, where they worked on various studies and reviews for mining companies. Martin began their career as a Rock Mechanics Engineer at Johannesburg Consolidated Investments Ltd. and later served as the Manager Rock Engineering at Western Areas Gold Mining Co. Ltd. Martin Raffield has a strong background in technical services, operational management, and strategic planning within the mining industry.

Martin Raffield completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Exploration and Mining Geology from the University of Wales, Cardiff from 1986 to 1989. Martin further pursued their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mining Engineering from the same university between 1989 and 1993.
