Karen Pieters

Karen Pieters currently serves as the Director a.i. of scientific and technological research at Defence and as the Programmacoördinator for DEFence Research Action at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence since August 2021. Prior to this, Karen Pieters held various roles at Belgian Defence from September 1999 to August 2021, including Technical Manager for Petrol, Oil & Lubricants and Physical Testing of Materials & Equipment, Quality Manager, and Technical Responsable for CBRN protection. Karen Pieters holds an Engineer's degree from Gent, earned between 1995 and 1999.
