Allan Cairns serves as the Managing Director UK for Royal IHC since April 2024. Previously, Allan held the position of Managing Director at Nortech from November 2020 to March 2024 and served as COO at Benbecula Group from March 2019 to July 2020. Additionally, Allan was the Managing Director at Tyne Gangway (Structures) Limited from November 2018 to July 2020 and Non-Executive Director/Interim CEO at Hyperdrive Innovation between August 2016 and April 2018. As CEO of FABRICOM OFFSHORE SERVICES LIMITED from August 2007 to November 2015, Allan successfully grew the company from a startup to over 300 skilled engineers with a peak turnover of £33 million. Allan’s experience includes managing a multi-discipline engineering team as General Manager at AMEC, and various other engineering roles in organizations like K Home International and Wood. Allan holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University and is a Chartered Engineer (FIMechE) with additional qualifications in health and safety leadership.
