Edgar 't Hart has extensive work experience in software engineering and architecture. Edgar has been working at Royal IHC (Unit: IHC Systems) since 2017 as a Lead Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at IHC Systems from 1999 to 2016, where they held various roles including Lead Software Engineer, Software Architect, and Software Engineer. During their time at IHC Systems, they created simulation software for excavators and trailing suction hopper dredgers, developed automatic cutter controllers, and implemented new architecture for dredging tools.
In addition to their work at IHC Systems, Edgar also worked as a Software Engineer/Architect at CyberPoint from 2002 to 2007, where they designed and implemented an internet kiosk program. Edgar also worked at Imtech Marine & Offshore as a Software Engineer from 2001 to 2002, where they developed sensor monitoring software for yachts and made improvements to existing software. Prior to that, they worked at Imtech Marine & Offshore from 1999 to 2000, where they were involved in the initial development of dredge monitoring software.
Before their tenure at Imtech, Edgar worked at Holland Signaal as a Hard- & Software developer for a brief period in 1998. Edgar also worked at TNO FEL as a Software Engineer in 1998, where they conducted research on remote PC usage using GSM datalink and developed analogue-data sampler/recorder software.
Edgar 't Hart obtained a degree in Computer Science (hard- & software) from Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag in 1998.
