Chris Steel Cbe Ceng Miet Miod

Chris Steel CBE CEng MIET MIoD has extensive experience in technical and strategic roles within highly regulated industries, currently serving as Technical Director and Director at RB Safety Consultants Ltd since 2012, providing bespoke consultancy in safety and risk management. Additionally, Chris has held various leadership positions, including Capability Director for Maritime Mission Systems, and has been actively involved in community initiatives as a member of the Plymouth Area Business Council and as a trustee for the Plymouth Drake Foundation. Prior military experience as Commodore and Commander of the Maritime Reserves in the Royal Navy included strategic personnel planning and leadership of approximately 3,000 reservists. Chris holds a BSc in Engineering from the Royal Naval Engineering College and has completed advanced studies at prestigious institutions including Alliance Manchester Business School and the Royal College of Defence Studies.
