Yen Phung

Yen Phung, CPA, currently serves as the Assistant Controller at Royal Oak Realty Trust since August 2025. Prior to this role, Yen held the position of Construction Accounting Manager at Home Leasing from May 2021 to August 2025 and served as a Senior Accountant at Flaherty Salmin CPAs from September 2017 to April 2021, focusing on financial statement preparation and compliance audits for affordable housing entities. Previous experience includes roles as an Account Coordinator at Lewis Tree Service Inc., a Professional Teller at Bank of America, and various positions as a Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Cruz. Yen began the accounting career as a Financial/Accounting Intern at the Homeless Garden Project. With a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, Yen has developed strong expertise in accounting principles and public speaking through participation in Toastmasters.
