Ed Ferguson

Ed Ferguson currently serves as the Sound, Video and Broadcast Manager at the Royal Opera House, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Ed managed a performance lab at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama from January to November 2023, and led the sound department at The Esplanade Co Ltd from April 2016 to January 2023. Ed's extensive experience includes over 15 years as the Sound and Video Operations Manager at the National Theatre, where responsibilities included budget management, hiring, scheduling, team leadership, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Additionally, Ed acted as the Head of Sound for the Manchester International Festival's production of Macbeth in 2014. Ed is currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology at Brighton MET.
