Jake Phillips has a diverse work experience in various companies. Jake started their career in 2012 as an Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Jake then worked as an IT Change Manager in the eCommerce and Multi-Channel department. In 2014, they joined Marks and Spencer as an M&S.com Service and Operations Manager, responsible for payment and fraud coordination.

In 2015, Jake moved to Waitrose & Partners, where they held multiple roles, including Interim DevOps Lead, Application Operations Group Lead, and Digital Delivery Lead. Then, they became the Group Product Manager, leading the Waitrose Digital Customer and Mobile Apps domains, and played a key role in the COVID-19 response.

Currently, Jake is working at the Royal Opera House as the Head of Digital Products and Analytics. Jake launched the Royal Opera House Stream and sponsored the introduction of the Chord design system. Jake also led the successful migration to a new architecture, including a more secure payment provider.

Jake Phillips completed their education at The University of Sheffield from 2008 to 2012, earning a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree with a specialization in Microelectronics.

In addition to their formal education, Jake has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a Certified Scrum Master through Scrum Alliance. Jake further enhanced their skills in project management by obtaining the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org in 2019.

Continuing their professional development, Jake received certifications in digital marketing and product management. In 2020, they completed the course "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" at Google Digital Garage and "Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals" at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
