Ruth Paton is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre Design at the University for the Creative Arts since September 2022. Concurrently, Ruth serves as Lead Education Practitioner at the Royal Opera House, a role held since January 2012, where responsibilities include leading art workshops for families, delivering design workshops for diverse groups, and co-curating the 2015 Fused Festival of Chorus and Costume. Additionally, Ruth has been involved in the Design Challenge as a lead artist and judge, creating educational content for various educational levels and providing teacher training. As Lead Education Practitioner with the English National Opera, Ruth facilitates summer schools and community workshops, including a project performed at the V&A. Ruth also holds the position of Artistic Associate with BLIND SUMMIT THEATRE COMPANY since September 2014.
