Philip Newland-Jones

Philip Newland-Jones is an Honorary Associate Professor in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the University of Southampton, where responsibilities include module leadership for the "Modern Management of Diabetes: Nutrition and Pharmacotherapy" course. As Clinical Director of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Service at University Hospital Southampton NHS FT, Philip also serves as a Consultant Pharmacist and Advanced Specialist Pharmacist Practitioner. Additionally, Philip is the Chair of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board Diabetes Medicines and Technology Prescribing Committee, an External Specialist Advisor to the Department of Health and Social Care, and a member of the NICE Guideline Committee for adrenal insufficiency management. Other roles include membership on the RPS Education Standards Committee, editorial board positions with Practical Diabetes and Diabetes & Primary Care journals, and significant involvement with the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association. Philip holds multiple degrees from the University of Portsmouth and the University of Reading, including a Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy.
