Head Of Professional Standards And Patient Safety at Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Wing Tang has a diverse range of experience in the pharmacy profession. They started their career at the National Pharmacy Association in 2007, where they held various positions, including Information Pharmacist and Specialist Pharmacy Advisor. During this time, they provided support and guidance to community pharmacy teams and developed guidance for changes in pharmacy legislation.

In 2010, Wing Tang joined the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where they held several roles. They initially served as a Professional Support Pharmacist, specializing in legal and ethical considerations and acting as a referral point for member enquiries. They also took on the responsibility of being the lead author for the Medicines Ethics and Practice guide.

In 2018, Wing Tang was promoted to the position of Head of Professional Standards, overseeing the development and maintenance of professional standards and guidance for the society. They held this role until 2019 when they became the Head of Support and Guidance, where they managed various teams including professional support, guidance, library, and museum.

In April 2022, Wing Tang took on the interim role of Associate Director for Pharmacy and Member Experience, where they joined a team responsible for managing and planning strategic goals during a period of change. They will continue in this role until May 2023.

Wing Tang completed a Master of Pharmacy degree at The School of Pharmacy, University of London from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued a degree in Law and graduated from BPP Law School in 2007 with a Graduate Diploma in Law.
