Monika Burgess

Monika Burgess is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Financial Planning and Performance at Royal Roads University since September 2022, Monika previously held significant positions at BC Public Service, including Director of Sector Initiatives and Reporting and Senior Manager of Budgets and Financial Reporting from June 2018 to August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General of British Columbia from September 2012 to May 2018, and earlier work at BC Ferries as a Customer Service/First Aid Attendant from March 2003 to September 2013. Monika holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Camosun College (2010-2013) and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) certified by CPA Canada since 2015.
