Richard de Lancey

Richard de Lancey has a diverse work experience in the field of product design. Richard started as the Co-founder and Product Design Engineer at nu desine in 2010, where they developed the AlphaSphere, an electronic musical instrument, and handled various aspects of running a tech startup. In 2014, they founded The Delancey Company, a British Product Design Consultancy based in Kuala Lumpur, where they worked on over 50 projects, helping Malaysian inventors and startups bring their ideas to life. Currently, Richard is the Head of Design at Royal Selangor, a leading luxury pewtercraft brand, where they manage a team of 22 staff and is responsible for planning and executing the design of new products.

Richard de Lancey attended Bristol Grammar School from 1999 to 2006. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued a BEng degree in Product Design Engineering at Loughborough University.
