Daniel Akenine

Daniel Akenine serves as the National Technology Officer at Microsoft since December 2010 and has been a Fellow at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences since December 2023. In addition, Akenine is a board member at ECPAT Sverige, focusing on combating child sexual exploitation, and served as an external expert for the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority's innovation competition in 2023. Previous roles include membership in the Swedish National Digitalisation Council and participation in various advisory positions, such as the SPS Advisory Board and the external expert group for the Swedish National Data Strategy. Akenine has held leadership positions within the Iasa Global community and the Swedish Computer Society and is an accomplished writer, with works covering topics in fiction and IT architecture. Akenine's educational background includes advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Lund University, amongst others.
