Pieter Huys

Pieter Huys is a seasoned financial professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience across several sectors. As a co-founder of Amabanda Uganda Ltd since November 2021, Pieter is involved in bamboo processing and treatment, contributing to the sustainable bamboo economy in Uganda through roles on the board of directors at Bamboo Uganda and Fresh Handling Ltd. Pieter has also served as Finance Lead at Royal Van Zanten since February 2018, overseeing financial operations for a significant producer of flowers and plants. Previous roles include Financial Controller at Decathlon Nederland and Group Analyst at Unilin. Pieter holds Master's degrees in Taxation and Applied Economics from Ghent University and started a career as a Tax Consultant at PwC.
