Furqan Ahmed has a strong background in software engineering and development, with significant experience in working with IBM WebSphere Commerce. Furqan started their career at DTS Inc in Pakistan as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed storage-based system modules for Linux systems and integrated them into different platforms and versions. In 2010, they joined Royal Cyber Inc as a Sr. IBM WebSphere Commerce Developer. At Royal Cyber Inc, Furqan was involved in projects such as the migration of Kmart Australia from MadisonStore Model to Aurora Store Model, including database migration and the migration of the search server. Furqan also worked on configuring Arabic language support, adding new shipping rules, and developing on the Madison Storefront for the AlYousufi project in Kuwait. In 2008, Furqan briefly worked at DTS Inc in Japan as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for finalizing and preparing licenses for existing products on different platforms and interacting with technical and marketing teams to understand client requirements.
Furqan Ahmed attended Sir Syed University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. In terms of additional certifications, Furqan Ahmed received the following:
- In April 2012, they became an IBM Certified Application Developer - WebSphere Commerce 7.0.
- In April 2012, they also obtained the certification of IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Commerce V7.0.
- In October 2015, they achieved the certification of IBM Certified Application Developer WebSphere Commerce V7 (FEP 7).
- In September 2016, they acquired the certification of IBM WebSphere Commerce - Foundations.
