Volodymyr Nikolenko

Vice President, Research & Investments at Royalty Pharma

Volodymyr Nikolenko has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Volodymyr started their career at EIMB in 1997 as an MFTI and then worked as a Research Assistant at Columbia University and Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 2000 to 2007. In 2005, they briefly worked as a Consultant at Roberts Mitani, LLC. Volodymyr also interned at Digicel USA in 2006 as part of the Product Strategy Group. From 2008 to 2012, Volodymyr served as an Intellectual Property Portfolio Analyst at Columbia University's Technology Transfer department. Volodymyr then joined Merck & Co., Inc. in 2012 as a Senior Financial Analyst, handling pipeline valuation, portfolio analysis, business development, and licensing. Volodymyr joined Evercore ISI in 2014 as an Associate in Equity Research, focusing on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Finally, in 2017, they became the Vice President of Research & Investments at Royalty Pharma.

Volodymyr Nikolenko began their education at Odessa Richelieu Lyceum, where they obtained their High School Diploma in Physics. Volodymyr then attended Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) from 1994 to 2000, earning an M.Sc./B.Sc. degree with Highest Honors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Following this, they pursued their academic career at Columbia University from 2000 to 2007, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Later, they attended Columbia Business School from 2010 to 2012, obtaining an MBA degree. In addition to their formal education, Volodymyr Nikolenko holds certifications such as Series 63, Series 7, Series 86, and Series 87, from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
