P Kumar

P Kumar has extensive experience in the power distribution sector, having held key leadership roles at RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, BSES Delhi, Delhi Vidyut Board, UPSEB, and NTPC. At RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, P Kumar served as President Power Distribution and Managing Director at NPCL from July 2021 to June 2022. P Kumar's tenure at BSES Delhi from July 2002 to June 2021 included positions as CEO of BSES Yamuna Power Limited, where significant financial recovery was achieved by reducing distribution losses from 22% to 7%. Additionally, P Kumar held positions that focused on strengthening the distribution network and enhancing customer service at BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and drove loss reduction initiatives at BSES Yamuna Power Limited. Earlier experience includes a role as Division Head at Delhi Vidyut Board, with training in power industry reforms at the University of New South Wales, and as Assistant Executive Engineer overseeing commissioning projects for NTPC and UPSEB. P Kumar holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
