Shafaq Haroon

Shafaq Haroon has over a decade of work experience, primarily in the field of software engineering and agile project management. Shafaq started their career in 2008 as a Software Engineer at the University of Management and Technology - UMT. Shafaq then worked as a Software Engineer at Softech Systems (Private) Limited and Speridian Technologies, where they contributed to the development of various web-based applications.

In 2010, Shafaq joined Xavor Pakistan as a Software Engineer, further enhancing their technical skills. Shafaq then moved on to Systems Limited, where they served as a Scrum Master and facilitated scrum ceremonies, collaborated with product, engineering, and design teams, and managed the development of product features. Shafaq also assumed the role of a Senior Software Engineer at Systems Limited, contributing to the development of multi-threaded web-based applications for automation of mortgage processes.

In 2016, Shafaq joined Acumen technologies as a Scrum Master, where they played a pivotal role in providing visibility of deliverables to stakeholders, addressing cross-team dependencies, and resolving technical blockers. Shafaq also contributed to the company's agile processes, supported product managers in visualizing roadmaps, and facilitated alignment across the organization.

From 2018 to 2021, they worked at The Knowledge Academy as an Agile Trainer, where they shared their expertise with teams and individuals, guided them in adopting an agile mindset, and supported the use of relevant frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

In 2021, Shafaq joined MMT Digital as a Scrum Master, where they continued to demonstrate their proficiency in agile project management until 2023. Shafaq is currently working at C TWO (formerly RPA Supervisor) as a Scrum Master since 2023.

Throughout their career, Shafaq Haroon has demonstrated their ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, guide projects from concept to launch, and ensure efficient delivery of products. Shafaq'sexperience in agile project management and software engineering has equipped their with valuable skills for driving successful outcomes in technology-based projects.

Shafaq Haroon obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they have achieved various certifications related to project management, agile methodologies, and software development. These certifications include being a Certified SAFe 6 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2023, a Certified OKR Foundation from OKR Institute in November 2022, a Kanban Management Professional from Kanban University in July 2022, a Professional Scrum Master II from Scrum.org in July 2021, a DEVOPS OPERATIONS ENGINEER™ from the International DevOps Certification Academy™ in February 2020, an Accredited Project Manager (APRM™) from the International Organization for Project Management™ (IO4PM™) in September 2018, a Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in April 2018, a Project Requirements Analyst (APRA™) from the International Organization for Project Management™ (IO4PM™) in April 2018, a Scrum Certification For Web Developer™ from the International Scrum Institute™ in April 2018, a Scrum Master Accredited Certification™ from the International Scrum Institute™ in April 2018, a Scrum Product Owner Accredited Certification™ from the International Scrum Institute™ in April 2018, a Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E) from Scrum Alliance in April 2023, and a Certified Agile Leadership for Teams (CAL-T) from Scrum Alliance in April 2023.
