Erik Young

Erik Young is a Software Engineering Manager at RPM, where responsibilities include leading a critical greenfield project focused on modernizing core systems and enhancing scalability, stability, and security. Erik has a strong background in both greenfield initiatives and legacy systems, showcasing deep technical expertise. As a mentor within the organization, Erik fosters a culture of continuous learning and oversees a team of six developers, emphasizing skill development and team performance. Prior to RPM, Erik served as a Senior Software Developer at RPM and held roles at Mark43 and the City of Beaverton, where skills in software development, integration support, and operational efficiency were developed. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science from Portland State University, along with an Associate in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from Oakland Community College.
