Mike Tanis

Mike Tanis has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries. Mike worked at RPM International Inc. from 2019, initially as a Strategic Sourcing Manager responsible for packaging and later promoted to the role of Director of Strategic Sourcing. Prior to that, they were a Lead Sourcing Manager at Amway, specializing in various areas such as packaging, rigid packaging, specialty chemicals & enzymes, and beauty packaging. Before entering the sourcing field, Mike worked at Eaton as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Design Team Manager. Mike started their career at Bursley Blue Apple Food Emporium, where they gained management skills as the Head Student Manager. Additionally, they had an internship at Materialise, focusing on biomedical application engineering and sales.

Mike Tanis earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, they also briefly attended Technische Universität Berlin. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Lean Manufacturing Yellow Belt certification from Amway in 2016 and a Supply Chain Professional Certificate from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
