Drikus Scheepers has over 23 years of experience in various roles within the mining industry. Drikus started their career as a Business Area Accountant at Anglo Platinum in 2000 and worked there until 2007. Drikus then joined Xstrata Alloys as a Specialist Business Process Improvement until 2010. After that, they worked as a Superintendent Financial Controlling & Reporting at Xstrata Copper for a few months before moving to Queensland Rail as a Finance Analyst: Project Transition. In 2011, they joined RPMGlobal as a Principal Consultant Business Analysis, where they provided financial and economic consulting services to clients in the mining industry. Drikus also worked as a Technical Analyst and an Enterprise Integration Analyst during their time at RPMGlobal. Most recently, Drikus worked at Quorum Software as a Snr Project Manager for a few months before returning to RPMGlobal as a Global Technical Delivery Lead in 2023. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in project management, financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and process optimization.

Drikus Scheepers obtained their Bachelors in Business Administration degree with a field of study in Accounting from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, which they attended from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended Stilfontein Highschool in South Africa from 1986 to 1990, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. In addition to their educational background, they also obtained a PRINCE2® Practitioner certification from SPOCE Project Management Ltd. in November 2014.
