Colleen Brown

Colleen Brown is an experienced educator currently serving as a 2nd-grade teacher at Spring Creek Elementary in RPS 205. With prior experience as a kindergarten teacher at McIntosh Elementary and a student teacher at Cherry Valley Elementary School, Colleen has developed a robust background in early childhood education. Colleen also worked as a substitute teacher for Rockford Public Schools and held leadership roles as a Residence Hall Director at Rockford University and Assistant Resident Director at St. John's Catholic Newman Center. In addition to experience in education, Colleen has taught dance as a Teaching Artist in Champaign Unit 4 Schools and supervised summer program students for the Milwaukee Ballet. Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Rockford University.
