David Ortner

David Ortner has a strong background in development and real estate. David is currently working as a Senior Vice President at RPT Realty since January 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President of Development at the same company since December 2020. From 2017 to 2020, David worked at Brookfield Properties as the Senior Director of Development, Retail. Before that, they were a Senior Development Associate at Advance Realty Development from 2014 to 2017. David also has experience working in economic development and finance, having served as the Director at Brick City Development Corporation from 2011 to 2014 and as an Analyst at Geller Associates from 2008 to 2009. David has also held various roles in legal and consulting capacities earlier in their career.

David Ortner's education history begins in 1994 when they attended Highland Park High School. David completed their high school education there and then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1998 to 2002. In 2001, David briefly studied Australian Financial Systems at UNSW. Subsequently, they attended Cardozo School of Law from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Law.
