Mick Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mick began their career in 1999 as a Firefighter and Paramedic with the Columbus (Ohio) Division of Fire, where they served for over a decade. In 2010, they founded Safety Solutions India, acting as the Owner and CEO. Their responsibilities included providing emergency medical trainings, acting as a trainer and consultant in the fields of fire and emergency medical services, networking, and exploring partnership opportunities. Mick joined the American Heart Association in 2014 and held various positions, including Regional Director and Senior Regional Director, in Quality and Systems Improvement. In 2018, they became the Resuscitation Quality Improvement Manager, overseeing the implementation of resuscitation quality improvement programs. In 2019, they joined RQI Partners, LLC as a Regional Impact Manager and later transitioned to the role of Director, Customer Impact.
Mick Smith's education history begins in 1990 when they attended Cedarville University. Mick completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & Behavioral Science in 1994. In 1999, Mick attended the Columbus Division of Fire Academy, where they obtained a degree in Fire & EMT- Basic. Later, in 2002, they enrolled in the Columbus Division of Fire- Paramedic Program, specializing in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic), and successfully earned a Paramedic- NREMT and State of Ohio certification in 2003.
