Consulting Leader at RSM US

Patrick (Pat) Vance is the national consulting leader for RSM US LLP. He is responsible for the leadership and management of the consulting line of business including strategy and execution in the United States and Canada and is a member of the firm’s executive leadership team.

Pat was named national consulting leader effective May 1, 2022. His tenure with the firm spans 26 years and, in that time, he cultivated deep experience in both consulting and enterprise leadership. He has developed a singular, strong grasp on complex service lines and how to best leverage internal capabilities to support complex, integrated client needs. Known for being a driver of growth and innovation, Pat brings a strong track record for profitable growth and a passion for developing people with a focus on collaboration to enhance team performance.

Previously, Pat served as RSM’s consulting chief operations officer (COO) for the U.S. and Canada. In this role, he oversaw the practice’s growth and profitability, client service delivery and innovation.

He also led in several capacities in his RSM career. He managed a regional technology consulting team, which he expanded both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Pat continued to guide the growth and maturation of the RSM consulting practice, serving in roles ranging from infrastructure leader to national technology and management consulting leader. Under his leadership, the technology consulting team grew exponentially advising clients across the globe.

His overall knowledge in project management, design, implementation and administration of local and wide area networks allowed Pat to be successful in multiple industries, which includes higher education, finance, business services, government and manufacturing.

Pat has been married to his wife Wendy for 31 years and they have four children. He has been active in his community by donating time to his local Catholic high school, serving on his parish finance committee and being active with local scholarships.
