After their military service, Rune worked as a Manager at Baren, a Fridaybar at Aarhus University Herning. In this role, they had overall responsibility for the establishment, including ordering goods, managing the budget, and overseeing a team of 20 volunteer bartenders.
Rune then joined Danish Aerospace Company as an Electronics Engineer and QMS Engineer. Here, they worked on electronics development according to ECSS Standards, software development, AS9100 QMS implementation, and requirements analyses and systems engineering. Danish Aerospace Company primarily operates in the area of advanced medical instrumentation and engineering fields, with a focus on space applications.
Following this, Rune pursued a Ph.D. at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a Researcher in the field of Photonics. Rune'sresearch involved developing polymer fiber-optical biochemical sensors, utilizing various techniques such as Fiber Optics, Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs), microstructured fibers, photoluminescence, polymer chemistry and physics, and solubility science.
Currently, Rune is working as a Data Scientist at RSP Systems A/S, where they focus on data analysis of spectroscopic data with the goal of creating calibration models for non-invasive glucose monitoring equipment. Rune'srole involves programming, data science, machine learning, optics, and electronics.
Rune Inglev's education history begins with their high school education at Herning Gymnasium, where they obtained a High School, STX degree in Humanistic fields from 2003 to 2006. They then proceeded to Aarhus University, where they pursued a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2010 to 2013.
Following their undergraduate studies, Rune Inglev enrolled at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark. There, they completed a Master of Science degree in Engineering, Physics and Technology specializing in Optics, Sensors & Nanotech. This program lasted from 2014 to 2017.
Continuing their academic journey, Rune Inglev went on to join DTU - Technical University of Denmark to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Photonics. They engaged in research and studies in this field from 2017 to 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Rune Inglev has also obtained various certifications. They have earned a certificate in Software for Medical Devices and IEC 62304 from Medical Device HQ in March 2021. Earlier, in January 2021, they obtained a certification in Risk Management for Medical Devices and ISO 14971:2019 from the same institution.
Furthermore, Rune Inglev has acquired specialized knowledge in other areas. They obtained an Honor Code Certificate for Quantum Mechanics of Molecular Structures from edX in May 2015. They have also received training from the European Space Agency and obtained certifications in ESA ISS Operations (March 2015) and ESA Columbus Systems Training (January 2015).
